Site stereonets show incremental sample demag directions for GC
fits – this is useful, but it is difficult to distinguish them
from sample means – it would be better if it displayed different
symbols to represent site means, sample best fits, and individual
sample steps (in the case of great circles).

I assume that "sample best fits" refers to PCA directions.
These are now displayed using a diamond on the site plot,
distinguishing them from demagnetization steps (squares), great circle
poles (triangles), and site means (circles). Not yet documented --
will open another bug for this.
