Make sure that PuffinPlot correctly loads the files solicited by
Christian from various people. Also look at the MagIC Help Library,
section 4.2.3 Measurement Data, which provides a great overview
of currently used file formats.

Probably the easiest to implement would be a minimal file 
description language in which importable file format definitions
could be written. Might even be worth porting the 2G and Zplot 
importers to this language.
